False Alarm

"All the other girls here are stars, you are the Northern Lights
They try to shine in through your curtains, you're too close and too bright

They try and they try but everything that they do

Is the ghost of a trace of a pale imitation of you

I'll be the one to drive you back home, Kathleen"

So it turns out I didn't sprain my ankle, which is an ENORMOUS relief. Sorry about my premature panicking, but I swear, it felt exactly the same as when I broke it last fall. I did, however, catch a cold and was bedridden for about a week on account of my asthma is a curse.

But now I'm happy, healthy, and productive (at least when it come to the wedding).

I went shopping last weekend with my mom, grandma, sister and sister-in-law and BOUGHT MY WEDDING DRESS! I'm not going to put any details on my blog, so you're all just going to have to wait until October to actually see a picture of it. I will say that it is absolutely gorgeous and it is THE. ONE.

I've also got an appointment with a florist in a few weeks, and Kyle and I have been discussing our honeymoon. We've decided we absolutely NEED to go to Costa Rica, but we aren't sure we can afford it yet. We're making an appointment with a travel agent soon, and hopefully she'll be able to find us a good deal. But omgoodness, it sounds perfect for us. We're not really "sit by the beach and soak up the sun" people. We'd get bored doing that for five days straight. Costa Rica offers incredible beaches in addition to adventurous things to do, like canopy tours, jungle trails, snorkeling, caving, hot springs and volcanoes. We've gotta go. We've gotta.

I would just love to see a monkey in the wild.

Anyway, things at work are tolerable. Some days are harder than others, and the kids never stop complaining.

"Hey, why don't you color a picture of a flower?"
"UGHGHGH!!! Oh my GODDDD!"

It's like the world ends when we ask them to color pictures or play games. Don't get me started on doing their homework.

Mostly what keeps me going are the kids that run up and hug me whenever they see me. Or kids like Infinity, who is playing a game on the computer next to me right now and keeps trash talking the computer. And trash talking for her is like "Boy, you better watch it! Tsk tsk." She's so freaking cute.

Sorry for the hiatus. Happy weekend!
